We are excited and extremely pleased at how the project has turned out. Many volunteers helped us out and helped us accomplish our goals. Phase 1 as we call it still has some work to be done, mainly chipping brush along the trails.
The walking/ fitness and nature trail is level and for all abilities, complete with 10 fitness stations. We are ADA compliant for gardens, trails and even the pavilion, which is complete with a handicap grill and table.
We currently have over Sixty raised garden beds, in various heights of 1, 2, or 3 feet, The over all size is 4′ X 12′. The remaining 3 foot beds are reserved for the handicapped. There is a shed with tools to borrow, composting. Application below.
Phase 2 will be a very large open field for soccer, football, lacrosse, or just fun activities. We will also be constructing 2 baseball/ softball fields. With the hope of hosting tournaments in the future. But the most exciting aspect of the fields will be that all children should be able to host practices right after school, so parents would not have to return for the late practices.
Donations are in need to begin the phase 2 project.. if you would like to help us out you can mail a check to Bartlett Recreation with a note that it is to be used for the Morrell Family Community Complex phase 2. We do accept all major credit cards as well. We are grateful for the support. You can send a check to Bartlett Recreation and add a note that you wish your donation to be used for phase 2.
